DESCRIPTION:HRMAM Westman Chapter invites you to a session on Temporary Foreign Workers and Cultural Awareness & Integration\n\n\n\nPresenters:  Aikins Law and Westman Immigrant Services\n\n \n\nTopics will include:\n\n\n	Changes to rules for temporary workers\, skilled immigrants and Manitoba provincial nominees over the past year\;\n	Defining and identifying Culture\, the Newcomer experience\, cultural differences\, adaptation and integration\;\n	Cross-cultural communication and workplace relationships\n\n \n\nR. Reis Pagtakhan is a Canadian corporate immigration lawyer with over 19 years of experience advising businesses and individuals on immigration matters. His focus is on:\n\n1. Obtaining temporary entry and permanent residency for senior executives\, managers\, professionals and other company employees from all over the world\;\n\n2. Training business and HR professionals on immigration law and processes\; and\n\n3. Working collaboratively with business and HR professionals to create easy to use systems to comply with federal and provincial immigration laws.\n\nA partner with Aikins Law\, Reis is also a member of the HRMAM Board.                                                                                        \n\n\n\nSarah Nantais has been living in Brandon for almost two years now. She worked as a Prospective student Advisor specializing in ESL students at NorQuest College in Edmonton\, Alberta before moving here. \n\nSarah has her degree in English and a post-graduate certificate in teaching ESL. She has been teaching ESL students at Assiniboine Community College for the past year and currently works for Westman Immigrant Services as the Cultural Diversity Facilitator.  \n\nComing from a multi-cultural family has given Sarah an insight into what it is like to be an immigrant in Canada as well as the ability to observe the process of integrating into Canadian Society.
