What happens when an employer gets it wrong? What is due diligence? What should an employer do when safety laws conflict with other laws? What are the most common mistakes employers make when it comes to safety and how can I fix them to avoid liability? This presentation will attempt to answer these questions by reviewing the latest and leading cases on the topic of workplace safety\, as well as discussing how to balance various other laws\, such as human rights\, with an employer's safety obligations. \n\nMegan Smith and Kristin Kersey\, Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP\n\nSession: Human Rights in the Workplace - Legal Update\n\nMegan and Kristin will discuss the latest developments and emerging trends in the law of human rights and accommodation.
