DESCRIPTION:Samaritan House Ministries is pleased to announce the First Annual Hungry Hearts Benefit Gala. As one of our signature fundraising events to be held every year\, Samaritan House Ministries has partnered with Sunrise Credit Union\, the Victoria Inn\, and the Assiniboine Theatre Company to host an evening to focus on "Hungry Hearts" in our community.\n\n\n\nEVENING PROGRAM\n\n\n\n6:00   Doors open for cocktails\n\n          Music provided by the Secret Handshake Trio\n\n          with Dylan McDonald\n\n          Browse the silent art auction of local artist's work\n\n\n\n6:45   Welcome and opening remarks\n\n\n\n7:00   Dinner begins\n\n          Assiniboine Theatre Company presents\n\n          A.R. Gurney's "Love Letters"\n\n          Starring Rick and Karen Chrest\n\n\n\n7:30   First Intermission\n\n          Place bids on silent art auction\n\n\n\n8:20   Second Intermission\n\n          Place bids on silent art auction\n\n\n\n9:30   Winners announced for silent art auction\n\n          Winners announced for door prize draws\n\n          Farewell and thanks\n\n\n\n9:45   Program ends\n\n \nSamaritan House Ministries is Manitoba's second largest food bank and resource centre\, providing an emergency shelter\, women's shelter\, food hampers\, education and training\, and employment services at no cost to as many as possible. These programs\, running from three Brandon locations\, are vital to the hungry\, homeless\, and hurting in the Westman area. Our primary goal as an organization is to give everyone we help the concrete steps to grow in independence\, through food\, education\, and housing security. Our passion is to see those in need develop holistically\, and to find strength and independence through small steps that build over time.
