DESCRIPTION:Business for Breakfast: Diversity in the Workplace\n\nLessons from our local businesses that will include the following topics in relation to diversity: newcomers\, age\, disability and indigenous.\n\n\n\nThe Panel will include:\n\n	Laurie Cox from RBC\n	Spencer Day from Progressive Sanitation\n	Greg Crisanti from Tim Hortons\n\n Come for breakfast and a chance to network before the work day begins.\n\n\n\nMeet the Panel:\n\n\n\nLaurie Cox\n\nLaurie Cox is the HR Business Partner with RBC. Laurie has been with RBC for 20 years\, with roles in Leadership\, Training and Human Resources. Educated in Adult Learning and Development Laurie has studied and delivered sessions to Leadership teams across Canada on generations in the workplace and how to effectively motivate and mentor each generation. Laurie is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and has led and been a senior member of employee resource groups for Women\, Millennials and Cultural Diversity.   \n\n\n\nSpencer Day\n\nSpencer Day has lived in Brandon for 30 years and is a co-owner of Progressive Sanitation. He has been an integral part of growing the company to over 20 staff with routes all over Western Manitoba today. Spencer and his team at Progressive were the recipients of the Manitoba Chamber's Outstanding Small Business in 2016\, as well as the Brandon Chambers' 2016 Outstanding New Business winner.  Spencer currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Brandon Chamber of Commerce and is an advocate for diverse workplaces.\n\n \n\nGreg Crisanti\n\nGreg was born in St. John's Newfoundland and moved to Brandon at a young age. Since then\, Brandon has remained his permanent residence and he couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Greg graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree\, where he majored in Business Administration with hopes of one day owning his own business. This became a reality as today he can be found serving up "Double\, Doubles" as a proud franchisee with Tim Hortons. He's happily married to his wife Carrie and has two young Children Jett and Emberley at home! \n\n \n\nGreg has a strong sense of community involvement. He acted as the City of Brandon Youth Council member during High School\, served on the Board of Directors for Brandon's United Way\, Advisory Board Committee with Westman Dreams for Kids\, two terms with the Board of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce and currently is on the Board of Directors for Brandon Crime Stoppers and the Vice President of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba! Greg believes in the importance of getting involved and showing you are committed to your community.
