DESCRIPTION:Join us with hosts Sunrise Credit Union for their grand opening at our Business After 5 event.\n\n\n\nIn 2008 Sunrise Credit Union came into being as the result of a merge of five legacy credit unions resulting in a network of 14 branches throughout southwestern Manitoba.  Analysis of the amalgamation and strategic plans for the future revealed that Sunrise members within Brandon did not have local access to Sunrise.  The Board of Directors and management put together a plan and leased space at 824 18th Street to provide deposit and loan services to our Brandon based members as well as rural members needing services while in Brandon.  Sunrise members and Brandon residents responded so positively to the new Sunrise location that within the first two years\, both staff and branch square footage doubled in size.  During this same period\, Sunrise Credit Union purchased the former CKX property at 2940 Victoria to use as administrative offices in support of all Sunrise branches.  \n\n \n\nContinued growth from Brandon and area encouraged Sunrise Credit Union to plan for future expansion.  Working closely with developer\, engineers and contractors\, the plans formulated for what is now the new Sunrise Credit Union building located at 2305 Victoria Avenue.  This past month has seen both the administrative and branch offices move into the new premises with everyone under one roof.  The modern building features new services such as drive-thru and walk-up ATMS and safety deposit boxes combined with ease of access and ample parking - a huge benefit for members and staff alike.  \n\n \n\nWith Grand Opening ceremonies will provide tours\, appetizers and refreshments\, with the ribbon cutting at 6:30 p.m.   Sunrise Credit Union plans to continue with personalized\, professional services as a financial institution owned by the people it serves.  \n\n\nCome after work and enjoy this informal event.
